• Netizens criticize a reporter for making fun of NewJeans Minji's recent controversy

Recently, NewJeans' Minji had to say sorry because of the "kalguksu incident."

On January 21st, Minji went to a fashion show in Paris, France, after leaving Incheon International Airport. MBC's news website shared a photo of Minji with the title: "NewJeans Minji, international beauty, elegance."

However, fans noticed the words "Kal-Guk-Su" in the caption, making many think that the reporter was making fun of Minji's recent trouble.

Earlier, on January 16, Minji apologized for her "kalguksu incident." She explained why she said what she did and acknowledged her "immature attitude."

The "kalguksu incident" happened when Minji, during a live broadcast, wondered aloud in Korean, "What is kalguksu?"

This puzzled many since kalguksu is a well-known traditional Korean dish. It caused a big controversy on social media.

Additionally, some netizens pointed out that the same male reporter had previously published articles intentionally mocking the visuals of Jang Wonyoung and Sakura.

Many people online are criticizing the reporter and asking for an apology to Minji:

"Why treat a young girl like this?"

"The reporter's behavior is really not good."

"It's clear that this was on purpose."

"If she said sorry, let it go."

"Don't make fun of others for no reason."
