Park Seo Joon, who is getting ready for the Netflix show "Gyeongseong Creature" to come out, was recently on producer Na Young Seok's YouTube account on December 12.
During the broadcast, he talked about the problems that come with South Korea's new 52-hour workweek scheme.
According to the 52-hour workweek system, Park Seo Joon said, "It is difficult to refuse a project." This shows how hard it is for actors to turn down work offers. He went on to say, "With a 52-hour workweek, one project takes almost a year to finish."
Because of this, Park Seo Joon talked about how he personally handles job offers, stressing how important it is to make quick choices.
He said, "I try to say no as quickly as possible to be nice to the production team."
Not telling them for two to three weeks would not be polite.
The actor also talked about what the word "actor" means and how important it is. He said, "The word actor carries more weight than the term top star," adding, "I feel uneasy about being labeled a top star."
Park Seo Joon made a vague reference to how hard it is to get to the top of the entertainment business and stay there.
The first episode of "Gyeongseong Creature," which stars Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee, will air on December 22, 2023. Part 2 will come out on January 5, 2024.
The show tells the story of two young people in Gyeongseong who are only interested in staying alive when they face a monster of greed during the worst part of 1945.
Jang Tae Sang is played by Park Seo Joon. He is the owner of Gyeongseong's most famous pawn shop.
While facing different problems, his character gets involved in a search to find his lost mistress.
During the show, Park Seo Joon told the truth: "I felt burned out while filming 'Gyeongseong Creature' for two years." In his speech, he said that he had been sick for a while, which was why fan meetings had been pushed back.
He did things that helped him heal, like playing golf and watching movies and plays he hadn't seen in a while.
He said that he could forget all about his problems when he was playing golf.
He said he was ready to work hard again now that his health had gotten better.
