• ENHYPEN’s Pre-debut Stories Prove The Group’s Good Character

    Various stories from schoolmates of ENHYPEN members have painted a good picture for the group. As ENHYPEN is steadily gaining more popularity through each comeback, the topic of members’ past also becomes a popular topic.

    In fact, various schoolmates of ENHYPEN members have talked about them in a positive light. Below are some pre-debut stories for each ENHYPEN member: 

    Jungwon

    On the Korean forum Nate Pann, a person who claimed to have liked Jungwon during secondary school said that Jungwon was very kind and polite.

    In addition, despite being popular for his looks, Jungwon never showed off or judged people based on their appearance.

    The same person also recalled an event where Jungwon was an impressive leader in class, and mentioned that people confess to the ENHYPEN member all the time. 

    Sunghoon

    Meanwhile, a fellow ice skater only have positive words for Sunghoon, saying that due to starting late, they couldn’t get along with other people using the rink and was often isolated, but Sunghoon helped them to bridge the gap. 

    “Although Sunghoon didn’t rush to approach me, thanks to him slightly reaching his hand out, I think the other kids also approached me”, they said, recalling an event where other people refused the food they handed out, but Sunghoon alone reached out.

    Sunoo

    In an anonymous group chat for Sunoo’s fans, a person claimed to have been a classmate with Sunoo during his first year, and described the male idol as a class representative who was friendly towards everyone. 

    According to this classmate, Sunoo would dance to girl group songs in the classroom during lunch, looked the happiest when eating, and often tried to stop people from fighting/.

    Jake

    As Jake grew up outside of Korea, fans have compiled various accounts regarding the male idol from his schoolmates, and gathered that Jake came from a well-off family, and kept his audition as well as idol pursues a secret from his friends. 

    It was also learned that Jake was smart and good at math, played left centerback in football, and was a little introverted, and liked gaming, especially Fortnite, more than partying. 

    Heeseung



    A schoolmate of Heeseung previously compared the male idol to BTS’s Jungkook, and said that he looked way more handsome in real life compared to on the screen. 

    Heeseung deleted all of his SNS before appearing on I-land, the schoolmate also revealed, before adding that they hope for the male idol to succeed. 

    Jay


    One of Jay’s classmates once answered questions about the male idol on SNS. Here, when asked if Jay’s personality was fake, the classmate answered, “He really isn’t. He’s just showing who he is”. 

    Then, the person revealed that Jay would do everything other people asked, and on his first day of transferring to the school, he did Micheal Jackson’s moonwalk when other people requested.

     

    Niki

    Having debuted at an extremely young age, Niki was not in school for long.

    This major achievement marks a historic milestone for the group, reaching five music show wins with just their pre-release track.

    Fans, known as DIVE, couldn’t be more excited, and IVE couldn’t be more grateful. In a statement from Starship Entertainment, the group expressed, "It feels like a surprise gift right before our official comeback. We've only had happy moments promoting 'Rebel Heart,' and we're so thankful for this 1st place win."

    They went on to add, "Starting from February 3, we will bring even more happiness to DIVE. The title track 'Attitude' we will release then is a song that we all really love, and we hope DIVE will look forward to it."

    “Rebel Heart,” released on January 13, is the pre-release track for IVE’s third mini-album IVE EMPATHY, which will drop on February 3. The song has already been making waves on both domestic and international music charts. It continues to perform well on Billboard, landing at 51st on Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and 97th on Billboard Global 200 as of February 1.

    But it’s not just chart success that’s getting attention! The “Rebel Heart” dance challenge on TikTok has taken the internet by storm, with the members’ dance challenge videos collectively surpassing 24.96 million views with just two posts.
