• Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung Praised For Explosive Chemistry and Visuals in “My Demon”

The new K-drama “My Demon” has garnered attention for Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung’s excellent combination “My Demon” is the latest K-drama to air during the golden weekend hours on SBS.

This is a project that SBS had high expectations for, hoping it would help restore the network’s reputation after the painful fall of “The Escape of the Seven”.

Although the first episode’s ratings aren’t exceptionally high, at only 4.5%, it is still promising, especially considering the competition with MBC, which has gained favor with the audience after the historical hit “My Dearest.”

The opening episode of “My Demon” primarily aims to introduce the main characters, Do Do-hee (Kim Yoo-jung) and Jung Gu-won (Song Kang).

Do Hee is the heiress of a well-known business conglomerate, who is beautiful, proud, talented, and indifferent to romantic relationships.

However, as an adopted child, she is disliked by her step-siblings, facing envy for being the most trusted by her adoptive mother.

Her family are thus always interacting with each other with fake smiles and concealing their internal conflicts as they battle for inheritance.

Meanwhile, Jung Gu-won is a demon who has lived for hundreds of years. He maintains his youthful appearance by making deals with humans, granting them satisfaction with everything they desire for ten years, after which he will take their souls.

During one occasion while taking over a restaurant to rest and enjoy his favorite dessert, Gu-won coincidentally encounters Do-hee, and mysteriously loses his powers. In reality, Do-hee is going on a blind date as requested by her adoptive mother, only to mistakenly arrive at the wrong address and confuse Gu-won.

Though normally arrogant and averse to romantic affairs, Do-hee is inexplicably drawn to Gu-won’s cold, handsome, and mysterious charm from their first meeting.

After the first episode aired, viewers can somewhat imagine the plot of the drama: the love between a human and a demon, family conflicts, and the journey to find the biological parents of the female lead will be the main themes in the upcoming developments.

The fast-paced opening, with consecutive humorous and dramatic situations in episode 1, left viewers quite satisfied with the production. On social media, many viewers left comments praising the impressive start of “My Demon,” particularly highlighting the remarkable chemistry and visual combination between Kim Yoo-jung and Song Kang.

Below are some comments from netizens:

Oh my, this drama is so good with a beautiful, captivating plot, and it’s already fast-paced in the first episode. Looking forward to the remaining 15 episodes and hoping that the scriptwriter can maintain the quality. SBS must have invested a lot in production, and Song Kang is too handsome; he has looks, height, and even fashionable outfits.

Song Kang performs better than expected. The visual combination of him and Kim Yoo-jung is just out of this world.

Costumes, camera angles, background music—everything is good. It’s just the first episode, introducing the characters briefly, but it’s already engaging.  These two look really explosive together. Just started the drama, and I already like it.

  • Lee Min Ho Shares the Hilarious Story Behind His Famous Baeksang Fall—The One Thing He’ll Never Forget!

Actor Lee Min Ho recently shared an unforgettable and embarrassing moment from his early career, revealing how he became a “falling star” at his first Baeksang Arts Awards.

On the December 25th episode of You Quiz on the Block (Episode 274), Lee Min Ho made a guest appearance and reflected on his rise to fame.

The actor, known for his iconic role as Goo Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers, won the Best New Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards, but it wasn’t just his victory that grabbed attention.

Lee Min Ho recalled, "I was attending the Baeksang for the first time, and I was so excited. Since I wasn’t going as Goo Jun Pyo, but as Lee Min Ho, I styled my hair in a perm and was ready to go." However, things took an unexpected turn when he tripped and fell on the red carpet.

He sighed, recalling, "That day, I fell. I fell and created so many memes. Even now, I look back and think, 'How did I walk that quickly on the red carpet?'"

Laughing at his own clumsiness, he admitted, "I was moving at the speed of light, no composure, no focus. Honestly, more than the joy of winning the award, that day was chaotic and so embarrassing for me."

Though his win was a highlight, Lee Min Ho humorously shared that the incident of tripping overshadowed the excitement of his achievement.

It’s safe to say that while the fall became a funny meme, it also became a lesson in humility for the actor, and a moment that fans still remember to this day.
