• Park Bom's Impressive 11kg Weight Loss Spurs Wellbeing Worries as She Makes Music Return

Park Bom, who has gained attention for reasons other than her music, is set to showcase a different side of herself with her latest song. She announced that her new song, 'I', will be released on the 22nd at 6 p.m. This comeback comes after a hiatus of 1 year and 8 months since her collaboration with Kim Min-seok of Melomance on 'Flower' in March of last year.

Describing 'I' as a medium-tempo pop ballad with a blend of acoustic and electric guitar sounds, Park Bom expresses a sentimental lyricism that portrays the lonely and indifferent emotions of 'I', who is alone.

Previously, Park Bom grabbed attention for her rapid weight loss with the help of a diet company. She has faced controversies and scrutiny surrounding 'health anomalies' since her days with 2NE1 when she had a fuller figure.

However, Park Bom revealed that she successfully lost a total of 11 kg, going from 70 kg to 59 kg with the assistance of the diet company. Park Bom struggled with mood swings and an uncontrollable appetite due to ADD medication, making it difficult for her to lead a normal life. After discontinuing the medication, she shocked many with her weight loss.

However, concerns about her health and the yo-yo effect soon arose, and her use of ADD medication only added to the worries.

In response to concerns, Park Bom's agency explained that she was not able to pay attention to her diet during her inactive period but is now actively managing it. Despite gaining attention through non-musical elements, Park Bom faced disappointment as her activities as a singer were not highlighted after the disbandment of 2NE1.

Although Park Bom is making her return after 1 year and 8 months with her new song, it has been reported that there are no plans for her new song to be promoted on music shows or other broadcasts.

However, industry insiders have mentioned that broadcast appearances are being positively considered for her next album, raising expectations for Park Bom's future activities. Recognized for her unique and distinctive vocal color, Park Bom must now shine through her songs as she makes her long-awaited return to the music scene.
