• NewJeans Hanni clears up confusion over Korean lesson ban — "I only made a harmless joke"

NewJeans Hanni has addressed the misunderstandings regarding her ability to take Korean lessons.

On November 22nd, Hanni clarified the misconceptions that arose from her live broadcast on November 21st.

During the live broadcast, Hanni mentioned that she had wanted to formally learn Korean but hadn't taken any steps to do so.

However, this led to rumors suggesting that her agency ADOR had prohibited her from taking Korean lessons.

Within a day, Hanni directly refuted these claims. Hanni explained, "What I said during the last Phoning call, I think there's been a misunderstanding. About a year ago, I mentioned to my manager, who has since left the company, that I wanted to start taking Korean classes again. She responded in a light-hearted manner, and I took it as a joke and found it funny."

She further clarified, "I just wanted to share a fun story with you all, but I think there was a misunderstanding. This conversation never reached my label or CEO as it was not a serious discussion. I feel terribly sorry about this."

In conclusion, Hanni stated, "It was never my intention for what I mentioned yesterday to become such a big issue. I hope there's no misunderstanding, and please don't worry about it."
