• Soojin aspires to be a singer despite struggling to forget her troubled past at school

Former (G)I-DLE member Soojin has made a comeback after a two-year hiatus following her school violence scandal. She has also terminated her exclusive contract with CUBE Entertainment.

While she has announced that she will not be appearing on broadcast or music shows, she still plans to promote her new solo album through performances.

Soojin has released her first solo album titled "AGASSY," which has garnered attention for its emphasis on her performance strength. However, despite her comeback, she continues to face negative feedback.

This is especially evident in the public's reaction to her answers during her new album press conference interview.

During the interview, Soojin seemed to deliberately avoid addressing the school violence scandal. She discussed various topics such as her solo artist journey, concerns during her hiatus, album introduction, favorite tracks, and more.

Yet, she completely ignored the issue of school violence as if it had never happened.

Soojin was embroiled in a school violence controversy in 2021. Initially, she claimed to have engaged in a verbal argument with a middle school friend but denied any physical violence.

However, the situation escalated when actress Seo Shin-ae came forward and identified herself as a victim of Soojin's bullying.

Seo Shin-ae detailed how Soojin was part of a group that verbally abused her, spread baseless accusations, and personally attacked her during their middle school years. Soojin vehemently denied these claims but failed to provide any substantial evidence to support her innocence.

Soojin did file a lawsuit against the person who initially accused her of school violence, but the case was not prosecuted. Despite this, she maintained that the controversy was false and asserted that she had been declared innocent by the School Violence Countermeasures Committee during her first year of middle school. She also claimed to have been recognized as a victim of other seniors.

The public expressed disappointment in Soojin's lack of explanation regarding the controversy. Without addressing it properly, her comeback is seen as a quiet return that contradicts her stance of being innocent. If she wishes to move forward and overcome the criticism, she will need to show more courage and sincerity.

Taking a more humble approach and acknowledging her past actions would be beneficial for her long-term activities. Ignoring the school violence issue will only guarantee that the "school violence" tag continues to follow her throughout her solo career.
