Kim Sae Ron’s Family Speaks Out: “We Are Not Attacking Kim Soo Hyun, We Just Want to Reveal the Truth” - Here's Their Full Statement
The controversy surrounding Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron continues to grow as her family breaks their silence.
On March 11, the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute (Gaseyeon) held a live broadcast, sharing new photos and messages related to Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron.
During the broadcast, a photo of Kim Soo Hyun kissing Kim Sae Ron on the cheek was revealed, shocking many. According to Gaseyeon, this photo was taken in 2016, when Kim Sae Ron was just 16 years old, and Kim Soo Hyun was 28.
Kim Sae Ron’s family has now stepped forward, saying they are not trying to attack Kim Soo Hyun.
“We are simply revealing the truth as it is.”
Gaseyeon also revealed a text message from Kim Sae Ron to Kim Soo Hyun, sent in March 2023, after she received a legal demand from her former agency, Gold Medalist.
In the message, Kim Sae Ron pleaded:
"Oppa, it's me, Sae Ron. I received the certified document. They say they’re suing me… I plan to pay back the money gradually with each project I take on. I’m not saying I won’t repay it, but I just can’t afford to pay 700 million won all at once. Please help me… I’m begging you, give me some time."
However, reports claim that Kim Soo Hyun never replied.
In an interview, Kim Sae Ron’s mother and aunt stated that they had no choice but to speak out after YouTuber Lee Jin Ho claimed that Kim Sae Ron’s past posts were fake.
Her aunt clarified:
“We are not trying to attack Kim Soo Hyun.”
She continued:
“We did not fabricate anything. Our family can only tell the truth as it is.”
Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron’s mother explained why they are speaking up now:
“We don’t want to cause conflict. We just want my daughter to be remembered as an actress, not as a gossip topic.”
Despite these new revelations, Kim Soo Hyun’s side has not released a new statement.
Previously, after Gaseyeon’s first report, Gold Medalist strongly denied the allegations, stating:
“All of these claims are completely false and unacceptable. We will review the strongest possible legal action.”
However, Gaseyeon fired back, challenging the agency:
"We broadcasted this based on direct evidence and interviews with Kim Sae Ron’s family. Try issuing legal threats to the bereaved family as well."
Public opinion is now shifting, as many are questioning Kim Soo Hyun’s previous denial. The photo of him kissing Kim Sae Ron has sparked demands for further clarification.
With more evidence emerging, will Kim Soo Hyun finally speak out? Stay tuned for updates.
