• Fans saddened by TWICE's Jihyo revealing struggles over 8 years

In the pursuit of their dreams, many idols find themselves caught in the whirlwind of success, often sacrificing a "normal" life. In the fast-paced world of K-pop, ambition and dedication are crucial to reaching the pinnacle of one's career, resulting in idols leading extremely busy lives.

While extreme, this sentiment reflects the immense sacrifices and dedication required for greatness. Recently, fans and K-netizens were heartbroken after one idol opened up about the busy life she has lived for the past eight years, a life that prevented her from living normally.

TWICE's Jihyo shared her struggles as a K-pop idol during a fan meeting. A fan posted her words on the popular online community, Instiz, explaining, "She said she was really too busy and couldn't live like a normal person. It might sound extreme, but she said she never regrets that time."

The fan added, "That statement really hurts my heart. TWICE would sometimes have 8 releases in a single year, including Korean and Japanese albums, and they have to film music videos for them.

They would film even 10 music videos throughout the whole year. They also had to do showcases, Asia tours, arena tours, and they consistently released music throughout the year.

She once said there were times she wanted to give up and she would say that with a smile on her face.

When I think of all of TWICE's hit songs, I know how hard TWICE worked, so it hurts my heart, and I'm so thankful that she doesn't regret that time."

Other fans joined the community and expressed their thoughts. One commented, "I feel like she would feel so many different emotions because the TWICE we know today exists because of all their hard work."

Another wrote, "Jihyo... " Another fan acknowledged the challenges faced by TWICE, stating, "Of course, it's probably tough for all idols, but when you think about TWICE's frequent comeback schedule, it really would have been challenging for them."

One fan expressed envy, saying, "At least she was able to earn that much money for all her hard work... I'm envious."

The emotional impact of Jihyo's words was evident, as another fan shared, "I cried when I heard that at the fan meeting event... Because fans know how much they suffered, but it's the first time she said it personally herself like that."

The intense schedule of TWICE was acknowledged by one fan, who said, "I heard JYP doesn't give the group much time to prepare for their comeback, lol.

As soon as they have the song, they have to learn the choreography in one or two days, then they film the music video right away." Another fan added, "TWICE did have an extreme busy schedule," while another noted, "I do feel like TWICE didn't have any hiatus period."

  • Kwon Min Ah worries fans with emotional post about fear and self-blame: “Everything feels scary, I need to get it together”

Former AOA member Kwon Min Ah—who opened up in the past about being bullied—has once again shared a deep and emotional message on social media, leaving fans feeling concerned and sending love.

On April 23, Min Ah took to her Instagram to write:
“I don’t know if I’ve become completely twisted, or if I’m just scared. Maybe I’m afraid the same thing will happen again. Everything feels scary. And I want to say something sharp to myself too—get it together.”

Along with the message, she posted a selfie where she wore a red knit top, had her hair half-up, and showed a soft pout with a calm expression. Though her outfit and style looked casual, the mood of her words felt heavy.

Fans aren’t sure if Min Ah was directing the message toward someone else or simply speaking to herself. The final line, “get it together,” sounds like a tough love reminder to herself—but also makes many wonder what she’s been going through recently.

People quickly filled the comment section with supportive messages, telling her to stay strong and reminding her she’s not alone.

Min Ah debuted with AOA in 2012 and left the group in 2019. In 2020, she made headlines when she revealed that she had been bullied during her time in the group. The confession caused a huge reaction in the K-pop world, leading to conversations about idols’ mental health and group dynamics.

Recently, she surprised fans when it was revealed she began working as a manager at a dermatology clinic, showing a new side of her life outside of the entertainment spotlight.

Fans continue to cheer her on, hoping she finds peace and happiness in whatever path she chooses next.
