• SEVENTEEN's Dino talks about choosing to renew his contract

Dino, a member of the popular group SEVENTEEN, recently discussed his decision to renew his contract with the band.

He appeared as a guest on Shin Dong Yup's entertaining Youtube show, along with fellow band member Mingyu. The show aired on October 23 KST.

During their appearance, Shin Dong Yup asked if the band members had spent a lot of time thinking about their future.

Dino candidly admitted that he had. As a 13-member band, they had all decided to renew their contracts together, which raised questions in Dino's mind about what the future held. He wondered if they would continue as a band or eventually go their separate ways.

Dino revealed that he had done a lot of introspection before making this decision.

"I've been wondering, 'what do I really want to do?' and I eventually realized that I couldn't possibly have as much fun working with any other people as I am doing with these members. I enjoy their company, genuinely so. This was a key reason I wanted to continue being a part of SEVENTEEN as long as possible," he confessed.

Mingyu supported Dino's sentiment, understanding the struggles he had faced growing up. He noted that Dino had matured and emphasized the bond between Dino and his 12 "older brothers."

Dino openly admitted that the band members occasionally have disagreements, but Shin Dong Yup saw this in a positive light.

He advised that disagreements are a normal part of any relationship and contribute to bonding and growth. Without clashes, there is a higher chance that a group might dissolve prematurely.

The news that all the band members renewed their contracts simultaneously in July 2021 created a buzz in the music industry. In addition, they released their latest hit "God of Music" the day before, further solidifying their unity.
