Korean stars, especially K-pop idols, usually keep quiet about their personal lives. But a new trend of openness seems to be on the rise, with some celebrities not hesitating to talk about their relationships.
Joining the likes of Bambam and Jungkook, Jeon Somi, who recently made waves with her song "Fast Forward," gave a witty reply to a fan's question about her dating life.
Fan: "Are you dating? lol."
Somi: "If I were, I wouldn't be eating undercooked pasta alone, yo."
Somi has touched on her personal life on various TV shows. On "Witch Hunt," she mentioned staying friends with an ex-boyfriend after they broke up.
On her YouTube show, "Yes or Hot," she discussed being approached by a "foreign entertainer," sparking fans' curiosity about who that might be.
Somi is known for her honesty, but she stated she'd keep her relationship under wraps. She'd only talk about it if the media found out.
