• "Looks like Hwasa" K-Netizens aren't happy with Kwon Eun Bi's recent stage outfits and demand a change of costume coordinator

In a recent turn of events, South Korean singer Kwon Eun Bi, who rose to fame as the queen of a university festival, has found herself at the center of a controversy regarding the appropriateness of her stage outfits.

The dispute has ignited heated discussions among fans and on social media, with some supporters even calling for a change in the costume coordinator responsible for her attire.

The controversy began to unfold following Kwon Eun Bi's performance at a police university festival on the 20th. During this performance, she sang songs such as "Underwater" and "The Flash," but it was her choice of attire that drew criticism, with many deeming it "excessively revealing."

These claims quickly gained traction on various social media platforms, with hashtags demanding a change in Kwon Eun Bi's costume coordinator and accusing her agency of oversexualizing her becoming trending topics.

One netizen, using the hashtag '#Change_Kwon_Eunbi's_Coordinator,' expressed their dismay, saying, "I never expected to see an artist wearing such revealing outfits on my birthday. It's unfortunate and sad. How are they going to take responsibility? I hope they address this issue promptly."

Another netizen urged Kwon Eun Bi's agency, Woollim Entertainment, to act swiftly, stating, "Woollim Entertainment needs to change Kwon Eun-bi's coordinator quickly. We've been expressing dissatisfaction with Kwon Eun-bi's costumes since the Water Bomb Festival, but it's getting worse. Woollim Entertainment should listen to fans' opinions to protect their artists."

Furthermore, online communities have seen an influx of posts criticizing Kwon Eun Bi's outfits for being overly revealing, demanding a response from the singer's agency.

However, there are opposing views to this controversy. Some argue that Kwon Eun Bi's outfits were not unduly revealing and that she was merely wearing stage costumes suitable for a dance singer.

They question why there is a need to scrutinize the career of a successful artist in such a manner.

These differing opinions have fueled a debate over Kwon Eun Bi's stage outfits and performances, dividing both fans and the public.

Kwon Eun Bi is not the only artist to have faced such controversies in recent times. Singer Hwasa, who, likeKwon Eun Bi, has been lauded as a "performance queen" this summer, previously encountered a similar debate.

During a university festival, Hwasa's performance involved a specific body movement that sparked a debate over whether it was "too suggestive."

This led to a group of parents filing a complaint against Hwasa for an obscene performance, resulting in significant backlash.

In response to the backlash, Hwasa appeared on a variety show and revealed that she had shed tears due to the onslaught of hate comments.

As the discussions surrounding the stage outfits and performances of female singers continue, Kwon Eun Bi now finds herself embroiled in a similar debate and controversy as Hwasa, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by female artists in the industry.

  • Taeyeon says her Japan concert got canceled last minute and it feels like something was stolen from her and her fans

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon has opened up about her heartbreak after her solo concert in Japan was suddenly canceled.

On April 18, Taeyeon used the fan messaging app Bubble to talk to fans about what happened. She shared her honest feelings, saying, “I’m worried about Sowon (Girls’ Generation’s fan club). I feel so bad that I don’t even know what to say.”

She added, “I really hate this situation and I feel so sorry to Sowon. A concert that was made with so much effort and hope just disappeared in a moment. It feels like something was stolen. I feel empty and helpless, and I don’t know how to express these emotions.”

Taeyeon was supposed to perform in Japan on April 19 and 20 for her solo tour “The TENSE in JAPAN.”

However, on April 17, her agency SM Entertainment announced through her official Japanese site that the concerts had to be canceled. The reason? The equipment needed for the show didn’t make it to Japan on time.

SM Entertainment said, “We are currently transporting equipment used in the Asia tour to Japan, but it hasn’t arrived yet. It is very difficult to prepare properly for the concert under these conditions.”

They also shared, “We talked with everyone involved and tried to find a way to make it work, but in the end, we had no choice but to cancel. We deeply apologize to everyone who was waiting for the concert.”

SM added they are looking into the possibility of new dates for replacement shows. Taeyeon started her Asia tour on March 7–9 in Seoul. She already performed in Manila on March 29 and in Jakarta on April 12, receiving lots of love from fans.

Fans are now waiting to see if the canceled Japan shows will be rescheduled soon.
