• Rumors Have Been Circulating That BLACKPINK’s Lisa And YG Entertainment Disagree On Contract Renewal Terms

She is the most likely YG Entertainment artist to leave.

Lisa of BLACKPINK and YG Entertainment are said to have very different ideas about how to continue their contract.

A report from Munhwa Ilbo says that Lisa and YG Entertainment are talking about renewing their contracts.

Lisa's deal with YG Entertainment runs out in August 2023. But no deal has been made yet because the two sides have very different needs and wants.

Chinese sources also suggested to Munhwa Ilbo that Lisa's contract with YG Entertainment might not be renewed.

"We've been talking to Lisa and YG Entertainment to see if she can be on our show, but they've told us it's hard to talk about schedules after August because contract renewals are uncertain." — Source from China for Munhwa Ilbo

When Munhwa Ilbo asked YG Entertainment to speak on what the Chinese source said, the company did. Even though they didn't give a clear report on Lisa's contract renewal, they did say that the Chinese show's request had nothing to do with the renewal.

"It has nothing to do with her contract; it has to do with [BLACKPINK's] tour and her own plans."YG Entertainment

YG Entertainment also gave Xportnews a simple comment about the renewal of BLACKPINK's contracts.

"We are in talks [with all members] about renewing contracts."YG Entertainment

Munhwa Ilbo has also said that YG Entertainment's talks with Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé to renew their contracts are going well, with sources saying that both the members and YG Entertainment have given in on some points in order to reach an agreement.

After YG Entertainment announces the state of each member's contract with the company, the direction of BLACKPINK's future plans should be clear.
