• Check the facts: Is the second season of the Korean drama "True Beauty" coming soon?

    There have been rumors.

Is there going to be a second season of the Korean drama True Beauty? Let's check the facts.

Rom-com From December 9, 2020, to February 4, 2021, True Beauty was on TV. It stars Moon Ga Young, Cha Eun Woo (also spelled Cha Eun Woo) of ASTRO, as Jugyeong, Cha Eun Woo of ASTRO, as Suho, and Hwang In Youp as Seo Jun.

Since it came out at the height of the pandemic, it gave many people a way to forget about it. It was changed from the same-named Naver Webtoon by Yaongyi.

At the time, the Webtoon wasn't even close to being done, so some fans wondered how the K-Drama could be based on something that wasn't done yet and still end.

Still, the Korean drama True Beauty paid tribute to the original while adding new material and a good finish.

Still, some fans were left wanting more, especially those who read the Webtoon.

This week, there have been reports that True Beauty Season 2 was "confirmed" on social media. At the time of this writing, 429,8K people had watched a video by @kdrama_flex that was shared on TikTok.

K-Drama fans were happy to hear that the show would come back for a second season. It seemed like the right time, especially since the Webtoon had just ended.

The three-week-old video from Kdrama Flex's YouTube account was used in the first TikTok through a clip.

Even though it said it was a trailer for Season 2 of True Beauty, it was really just a recap of Season 1.

Also, the announcer said that a second season was coming, but he or she didn't say when. The description, though, said December 2023.

Different sources say different things. Some people said that work on Season 2 started in 2021, right after Season 1 ended. Since the Webtoon ended, there have been rumors that there could be a second season, but we don't know much about it.

Most importantly, neither government sources nor people who have worked on the K-drama in the past have confirmed it.

"Work on the second season of 'True Beauty' began in April 2021. The show is made by Studio Dragon and Bon Factory, and Kim Sang-hyub is in charge of directing it. The shooting is likely to happen in different places in South Korea." — Awards That Shine

Since the webtoon is done, many people want to know if there will be a second season of the show.

"But Yaongyi hasn't said yet if 'True Beauty' Season 2 is ready to go into production, if the original cast will be back, and who the new characters will be in what could be the second part of the popular K-drama." — KDRAMA STARS

"True Beauty's second season would probably start airing in 2023 if it gets picked up for a second season." — Asap Land

True Beauty fans are still looking forward to Season 2 so much that they keep spreading stories that aren't true.

Some people even post edits or clips from the stars' other movies to make it look like True Beauty 2.

One thing is for sure: if there were a second season, many people would watch, and there would be more to learn.

But Season 1 tried to give everyone a happy finish, so Season 2 is really needed.
