• Korean Actor Yoo Ah In Admits to "Facts He Can Reveal" After Drug Use Allegations

Actor Yoo Ah In, who is under suspicion of habitual drug use, has completed his police investigation.

Yoo Ah In attended the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Mapo headquarters at 9:20 am on March 27th without making any comments to the press and went into the interrogation room.

Afterwards, Yoo Ah In underwent a 12-hour investigation and returned home at 9:15 pm. Yoo Ah In, who appeared in a dark-colored suit with a white T-shirt, looked more haggard than before.

When asked by reporters, "Do you admit to the suspicion of using four types of narcotics?" Yoo Ah In replied, "I have told the facts that I can reveal."

He then fell silent and apologized, "I deeply reflect on disappointing many people who have loved me until now and I am sorry."

When asked about the questions he received during the police investigation, Yoo Ah In said, "I received a lot of questions related to the circumstances of the incident that were reported in the media. I told the truth as much as I could reveal."

He also said, "In fact, since the investigation is not over yet, it is cautious to directly disclose the details, but I think I was trapped in a wrong swamp in the self-justification that none of my personal deviations harmed anyone. I am sorry for the delay in making a statement."

Finally,Yoo Ah In said, "I know it may be uncomfortable for many of you to see me like this, but I want to take this moment as an opportunity to live healthier moments that I haven't experienced before. I am really sorry to disappoint you."

Initially, Yoo Ah In was scheduled to attend the police station on the 24th, but his side postponed the attendance schedule, stating that "the principle of summons for suspects is non-public."

The police began investigating Yoo Ah In based on the results of an investigation by the Korea Food and Drug Administration that his propofol prescription was abnormally high.

According to medical records, Yoo Ah In had administered propofol more than 100 times from the year before last until last year for two years.

On the 17th of last month, the National Forensic Service reported to the police that hair and urine analysis showed positive results for propofol as well as four types of narcotics, including marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine.

The police conducted search and seizure operations in hospitals and clinics in Seoul's Gangnam and Yongsan districts suspected of prescribing propofol to Yoo Ah In, as well as his residence, and summoned hospital staff, managers, and acquaintances as witnesses for investigation.
