BLACKPINK's Jennie has been selected as the new face of Chanel's 22 bag.
On March 22nd, Chanel announced that Jennie had been chosen as the model for the Chanel 22 bag.
Jennie has been active as a Chanel ambassador since 2017 and is an iconic K-pop artist with global popularity.
For this campaign, Jennie led Inez and Vinoodh through the streets of Seoul to create a mini version of the latest Chanel bag.
As Lily-Rose Depp, Margaret Qualley, and Whitney Peak brought life to the tote and backpack versions of the Chanel 22 bag, Inez and Vinoodh created an original story based on Jennie's taste and personality for the fourth episode.
After Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and New York, this campaign takes place in Seoul, the capital of Korea.
Jennie said, "Inez and Vinoodh call me 'My Girl.' They make me feel comfortable by looking at me as a regular girl, not as Jennie in the spotlight. As a member of BLACKPINK, I perform on stage and in front of the public, but I think this campaign shows who I am as a person."
She also revealed her affection for the number 22, saying, "My first solo song came out when I was 22, and we started a new BLACKPINK world tour in 2022. To me, 22 means a new beginning."
The campaign photos will be released on March 21st, and the video will be released on April 3rd.
