• "The Glory": Actress Lim Ji Yeon Shares Her Experience Playing Her First Villain Role

Actress Lim Ji Yeon shared her thoughts on playing her first villain role in "The Glory."

On the morning of March 17th, Lim Ji Yeon spoke about various topics in an interview for the Netflix original series "The Glory" at a cafe in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

"The Glory" tells the story of people who are drawn into the vortex of revenge that a woman who was shattered by violence in her childhood and even to her soul has carefully prepared, and Lim Ji Yeon played the role of Park Yeon Jin, a weathercaster who raises a daughter and was a leader in school violence against Moon Dong Eun (played by Song Hye Kyo).

With her cheeky speech and various expressions, Lim Ji Yeon perfectly embodies the villain and has gained much love.

On this day, Lim Ji Yeon shared her thoughts on playing her first villain role in her life. He recalled when he received the proposal for the villain role and said, "The script for 'The Glory' was so interesting.

Even if it wasn't Yeon-jin, I would have done this work with Dong-eun, Hye-jung, Sara, and even Hyun-nam," saying that he had no doubts.

Lim Ji Yeon said, "I would have appeared in 'The Glory' even if it was a cameo role. Actually, I've always wanted to play a villain role."

She added, "I hoped that if I had the opportunity to play a villain, I would be able to play a proper villain when I became an experienced actor in my 40s or 50s. But the opportunity came at a younger age than I expected. I met a villain I liked, so I thought it was definitely mine."

Lim Ji Yeon continued, "Even I hate Lim Ji Yeon so much. When I prepared the script for this work, I hoped that everyone in the world would hate her. It's not easy to get everyone's hearts, but it seemed easy to be hated. I told the writer that I hoped everyone in the world would hate me, and that's how I knew I did well in this work."

In "The Glory," Lim Ji Yeon shows a bed scene with Park Sung Hoon, who played Jeon Jae Jun, and also transformed into a mother who raises a child.

Regarding this, she said, "I had no problem with it at all," and added, "It was really okay. The bed scene with Jae Jun was a necessary scene for Yeon Jin. Also, the role of a mother was not that important. I'm also a 34-year-old actress."
