BTS's J-Hope revealed his father's opposition in the past.
On the March 12th broadcast of KBS 2TV's music talk show 'The Seasons - Park Jae-bum's Drive', BTS' J-Hope appeared as a guest.
On the show, J-Hope said, "I prepared only for 'Drive'" and performed his stage on 'on the street'.
Park Jae-bum asked, "Did your parents oppose your dancing when you started?"
J-Hope replied, "My father was a literature teacher at the school I attended. He didn't expect a smart kid like me to suddenly get into dancing."
When Park Jae Bum asked, "Couldn't you just dance and study well?"
J-Hope said, "That didn't work for me. I loved dancing so much that I practiced until dawn and came home late. That's why my father opposed it."
J-Hope said, "Nowadays, more than anyone else. I think even those watching this show will like it."
Park Jae Bum sympathized with him and said, "Parents are always the number one fans."
J-Hope started properly dancing in middle school, when he was in 8th grade at the age of 14.
He also revealed that he used to imitate the trendy dances from variety shows like "X-Man" and "We Got Married" during his elementary school years.
