TWICE’s Jihyo Captivates Netizens Despite Technical Problems at the “2023 Billboard Women In Music Awards”

She showed that she was a professional and did the best she could with a bad situation.

TWICE was the main attraction at the 2023 Billboard Women In Music Awards, which took place in California at the YouTube Theater. There, they were given the “Breakthrough Artist” award for the night.

TWICE became the first K-Pop group to win an award at the annual ceremony. They were also the first artist to win “Breakthrough Artist” since Camila Cabello in 2017.

ONCEs filled the theater, and many of them had “candy bongs” in their hands. They cheered for TWICE and drowned out the ceremony.

TWICE had the full attention of the crowd, whether they were seated or on stage. Even other people in the crowd didn’t know what to do because of how enthusiastic the crowd was about the group.

TWICE also sang their most recent English single, “Moonlight Sunrise,” while they were there to accept their award.

At the first live performance of the song, their performance got other artists up and dancing, and ONCEs sang along.

Fans were blown away by TWICE‘s live vocals and smooth choreography. After the performance, the hashtag “#PROUDOFJIHYO” became popular as netizens reacted to and praised the group’s leader for getting through technical problems during the performance.

As soon as they started performing, it was clear that there was something wrong with Jihyo‘s microphone because her voice was barely audible.

During the song’s bridge, Jihyo surprised fans when she took out her in-ear monitor and sang loudly enough for other mics to pick up.

Netizens couldn’t help but praise how professional she was and how quickly she thought on her feet to make the best of a bad situation.

The whole crowd was mesmerized by TWICE the whole night.
