  • Super Junior’s Choi Siwon Apologizes in Advance for His New Movie Role — What Did He Do?

Super Junior’s Choi Siwon is taking on a completely new and shocking role in the upcoming film "Lobby"—and he’s already apologizing for it!

On March 4, the production team of "Lobby" held a press conference at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University in Seoul’s Jayang-dong.

Director Ha Jung Woo attended the event alongside cast members Kim Eui Sung, Kang Hae Lim, Lee Dong Hwi, Park Byung Eun, Kang Mal Geum, Choi Siwon, Cha Joo Young, and Kwak Sun Young.

In "Lobby," Choi Siwon plays Ma Tae Soo, a national actor who gets caught in major scandals and tries to use his money to buy back his lost popularity.

Talking about his character, Choi Siwon shared, “Ma Tae Soo is a romanticist who lives in his own world. He’s like a deer with the suppressed rage of a tiger.” His words left many curious about what kind of performance he would deliver.

He continued, “I did my best to bring director Ha Jung Woo’s vision to life. While acting, I even had moments of self-reflection.” Then, with a smile, he added, “I’m debating whether to invite my parents to the premiere. Since my character is very romantic in love… I apologize in advance.”

Choi Siwon’s character is also the ex-boyfriend of Cha Joo Young’s character, and he had high praise for her acting.

“While working with Cha Joo Young, I was amazed at how great she was at reacting and absorbing the scene. She pays attention to every detail, and I was truly touched by her performance.”

Meanwhile, "Lobby" is set to premiere in theaters on April 2. Fans are already excited to see Choi Siwon in a role unlike any other.
