• "I Didn't Want to Disappoint Her, So I Ate It" — Super Junior's Kim Heechul Shares Unforgettable Experience of Eating Frog

Super Junior's Kim Heechul shared his experience of eating frog.

On the 196th episode of the KBS 2TV variety show "Boss in the Mirror" (also known as "Donkey's Ear") that aired on February 26, Chef Jung Ji-sun introduced various Chinese ingredients to her staff.

On that day, Chef Jung Ji-sun made her staff and MCs curious by saying, "Let's go see a 'hippopotamus'", but it turns out that the 'hippopotamus' was just a frog.

Chef Jung Ji-sun explained, "It's called 'jeonggye' because it tastes like chicken and is often eaten as a hotpot dish in the Sichuan region of China. If you don't think of it as a frog and eat it, it tastes like chicken."

Upon seeing the frog, Kim Heechul made a shocked expression and said, "I think it would be better if we just saw a real hippopotamus".

He then reminisced, "I've tried it before. About four years ago, I went to a Chinese event and went to eat with everyone after it ended. We went to a hotpot restaurant, and I couldn't eat it, but the female host, Chuk Seo-dan, looked at me and said, 'Can't you eat it?' I ate it because I didn't want to disappoint her".

He continued, "I really tasted the flavor of chicken. It was chewier and more tender than chicken in a way."
