This year is HyunA's 16th birthday. She is one of the most famous K-Pop artists of all time.

With the star on the cover of Cosmopolitan Korea's March issue, the event became even more important. On February 23, the magazine came out with a photo spread and an interview with the famous person.

In the interview, she talked about NewJeans, which was a surprise.

HyunA was asked in the interview what she would tell her 15-year-old self about her debut. "I want to tell her to eat well," the singer said. You have to eat well so that your body and mind can handle it."

She then talked about NewJeans and said that she feels very close to them these days and worries a lot about their health.

HyunA said that her worries about NewJeans come from her own time in the industry as a teenager.

"I've been really enjoying watching NewJeans lately. "Are they getting enough to eat?" (laughs). I wonder if they won't be able to eat well because they have to wear crop tops or if they won't be able to sleep well because they won't have time to rest. HyunA went straight to the NewJeans members and gave them the same advice she said she would give to her teenage self.

"Eat a lot of Korean food, and don't forget to take your vitamins, if you're a member of NewJeans. And I really hope that there is at least one person among you who you can talk to easily." —HyunA

Fans have had mixed feelings about this part of the interview. On the one hand, it's nice that HyunA looks out for her younger members.

But on the other hand, her worries show how hard it was for her to work in the K-Pop industry when she was a teenager.

When NewJeans came out, people all over the world were talking about how young they were. Hyein, who is the leader of the group, is only 14, which is the same age HyunA was when she debuted.

The rest of the group is also young, with the oldest member being 18 years old.

Both NewJeans and HyunA were very popular when they were very young. So it makes sense that when she looks at them, she probably thinks of herself.
