• Fans Swoon over Lee Jong Suk's Sweet Words about IU in "Esquire" Interview

Even the interviewer couldn't say anything after hearing his romantic answer.

Lee Jong Suk and IU's relationship has been like something out of a fairy tale. Since they were named Dispatch's 2023 New Year's couple, fans have been eagerly awaiting any news about them.

In 2012, IU and Lee Jong Suk met when they were both MCs on SBS's Inkigayo. Lee Jong Suk had said before that the two of them didn't talk much when they weren't filming for the show, but that their friendship grew after he quit being the MC to focus on acting.

In a letter to his fans where he confirmed that he was dating IU, he said that she had been the love of his life since he was in his mid-20s.

"When we were in our mid-20s, we met for the first time. It turned into something like a crush for me. There was something big there, and sometimes I was sad that it didn't go anywhere. We stayed friends for a long time. But now we're together again."Lee Jong Suk

In a letter that was just as sweet, IU also confirmed the relationship and talked about how they went from being friends to lovers over time.

"I'm starting to feel good about a coworker who I've known for a long time and who I've depended on. He has helped me for a long time, which is great. "You're cool, so cool," he has always told me. He is dependable and cute, and he always makes me feel good about myself." IU

Since the beginning of the year, their beautiful words have warmed fans' hearts, and Lee Jong Suk's recent comments about IU have done it again.

Lee Jong Suk is on the cover of the March 2023 issue of Esquire Korea. He also talked about his relationship in an exclusive interview that came with his cover story.

When asked about their new public relationship, the talented actor couldn't help but praise IU.

He said in a heartwarming way that she gives him "will and strength" and that she does the same for fans all over the world through her talent and music.

"It might sound silly to say that she gave me the will and strength to do what I needed to do. But not only me, but also a lot of other people have found comfort in her music and lyrics." Lee Jong Suk

He then talked about how long they had been friends and how she had always been there for him when life got hard.

"The only difference is that I got comfort from talking to someone. But more than that, we've been friends for a long time, and I think she's the funniest person in the world. As I said before, she gave me a lot of comfort when I was going through hard times in my thirties." Lee Jong Suk

Even the interviewer was moved by how sweet and thoughtful his answer was, and they joked, "What you just said was really touching."

Lee Jong Suk told IU that he wanted to be "an even better person" because of her.

"We've been friends since I was in my mid-20s, so we've known each other for a long time. So when she says to me, "You've grown up a lot," I want to grow up even more. It makes me want to improve myself even more." Lee Jong Suk

The actor's romantic comments about IU again left the interviewer speechless, and he couldn't help but point out how moving they were.

Netizens also talked about how the sweet interview made them feel and how happy they are that IU and Lee Jong Suk can talk openly about each other in interviews.
