He doesn't need filters!
It seems like you can't trust anything you see on social media, especially photos, in this day and age.
Since photo editing and filters are so common and accepted, it's rare to find a picture of anyone, especially a celebrity, that hasn't been changed in some way, whether it's a small change or a big one.
The K-Pop business is the same. Even though idols are already beautiful to look at, the selfies and official photos posted by idols or their labels are often heavily filtered and edited to hide skin texture, facial hair, and other flaws.
Because of this, when K-Pop fans see idols with little or no editing, like when Stray Kids members' unedited selfies were uploaded by accident, they often give them good feedback.
It's nice to know that even idols have flaws and aren't as perfect as they seem. And recently, Beomgyu of TXT joined the small group of idols who have posted selfies that haven't been heavily edited.
On February 3, Beomgyu posted four selfies to the group's official Twitter page after TXT won the music show award for "Sugar Rush Ride" on Music Bank.
They show him with their well-deserved trophy, and it's hard to tell if the first two photos have been edited or not.
In the last two photos, though, it's clearer that Beomgyu wasn't using filters.
You can see a little bit of texture on his skin, but it doesn't look like he has much to begin with. You can also see a hint of facial hair, which is usually lost in filtered photos.
There's something so incredibly refreshing about being able to see a K-Pop idol's pores and small flaws, and MOAs are loving this series of photos of Beomgyu being so open.
Considering how good-looking he already is, he probably doesn't need any filters in the first place.
A recent post on Reddit talked about this photo series and how it wasn't edited, and most of the comments on that post were positive about Beomgyu.
