Actor Yoo Ah In faces backlash as multiple brands pull advertisements following drug scandal

As the investigation into Yoo Ah In‘s drug use continues, his endorsement ads are quickly going away.

Media reports say that on February 12 KST, the fashion brand platform MUSINSA, which was known for using the actor in their campaigns and making an AI model named “MU Ah In” for their service, took out all references to him from their ads.

Outdoor brand NEPA and pharmaceutical brand I’m Vita have also taken Yoo Ah In out of their ads.

They removed pictures of him from their homepage, YouTube channel, and other branded content.

Yoo Ah In‘s endorsement deal with the Chinese fashion label CROQUIS has also been affected by the scandal. CROQUIS has taken down all of the things that had to do with him on their brand.

Meanwhile, it was already known that the actor was being looked into by the police for using the drug propofol regularly.

Investigators found that Yoo Ah In had been using propofol regularly since the beginning of 2021, and he also tested positive for marijuana.

Since then, the police have taken Yoo Ah In‘s phone and are doing digital forensics on it.
