• Super Junior's Heechul in Hot Water After Drunken Comment About ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo on Live Broadcast

Heechul from Super Junior is one of those idols who isn't afraid to say what he thinks. He's been in the business long enough to feel comfortable being himself and saying what he thinks.

The idol has gotten into trouble in the past because of this.

After a recent drunken live broadcast in which he mentioned ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, Heechul has been criticized.

On February 10 (KST), the Super Junior idol was on a live broadcast for Afreeca TV with BJ Choi. During the broadcast, the idol seemed to get very drunk, and his comments on the show got a lot of bad press.

During the broadcast, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo was brought up while they were talking about his former groupmate Kangin and how he is a fighter.

Heechul said, "I'm so close with Eun Woo. He's so handsome, but he's also such a manly man, which literally means "alpha male."

The term "alpha male" can be taken in a negative way, since some of the characteristics can be seen as harmful.

Even though Heechul seemed to be praising Eunwoo, what he said next got a lot of attention because he linked it to the hot topic of "school bullying."

Heechul said, "If you talked to him about school bullying, he would have cursed more than me."

When Heechul started talking about how he thought Eun Woo would act if he heard about a bully, netizens thought he was painting Eun Woo as a violent and aggressive person.

Heechul said, "I can see why he is so well-liked, of course. He has an image on TV, but if he heard about a school bully, he would say, "Hyungnim, bring that f**ker here," and slap him. He is such a strong man (Alpha male) who loves to work out ".

Some netizens thought Heechul was complimenting Eun Woo, but most didn't like the idea of Heechul bringing up the young idol in the middle of a serious conversation.

They didn't like it when he compared Eun Woo to a member who had been kicked out of the group.

    "Watch What You Say…"

"In school, Cha Eun Woo was the leader of his class. Just because he gets angry when people pick on him at school doesn't mean you should swear and say he's going to hit someone. You also shouldn't compare him to Kangin, who was caught driving drunk and hitting someone. I don't even think they are that close. He is really giving Eun Woo a lot of trouble"

Did you say that Eun Woo was like Kangin? Are you crazy?"

    "Protect Eun Woo".

For many, Eun Woo is a well-known star who gets attention all over the world for his work as an actor and an idol. Netizens are worried that Heechul's comments could be misunderstood and hurt Eun Woo.
