Jung Sung Il, who became famous because of the popularity of 'The Glory,' was on the latest episode of 'You Quiz on the Block' and talked about his childhood.
He cried as he thought about the hard times he had been through.
Jung Sung Il talked about how he got into acting in the new episode that aired on February 1.
He started by saying, "I didn't really have a dream because I was so busy trying to live and stay alive."
He went on, "My mother was sick when I was young, so she was always away getting better, and my father was a free spirit, so he was never at home."
He told them, "When I was a senior in high school, my mother got better and came back home. She thought it would be a good idea for me to go to college. Then, my sister told me to check out fine art and performance art."
Yoo Jae Suk asked someone on the show, "How were you when you were young?"
The actor said, "I went through a rebellious phase, but my parents were never around, so it was always my sister who took care of me."
He kept going, "We lived with our grandmother, and when we were in elementary school, we had to take care of her. We had to clean up her waste because she had trouble getting around."
Jung Sung Il then told a story about how hard things were for him.
He told them, "When my sister was at school, I had nothing to eat or drink while I waited for her. So, once I was really hungry and I saw a puddle of water on the ground. I waited until the dirt fell to the bottom and then drank the water at the top."
Yoo Jae Suk asked, "Why didn't you ask your neighbors for some water?" The actor said back, "You can do that more than once. I felt bad every time I went around and asked." "Did your sister know about that?" asked the host. Jung Sung Il talked about it, ""Are you crazy?" my sister yelled at me. Why did you drink that? You should have waited until I got there."
Jung Sung Il said that the fact that his sister was in elementary school at the same time breaks his heart even more.
He told, "My sister was good at cooking with only what we had at home. So, she always cooked for me. But the thing is, my sister is only two years older than I am, so she was in elementary school at the same time. So that's what really breaks my heart. I was also young, but my sister was even younger. She didn't cry in front of me, though."
