• "Love Alarm Clap! Clap! Clap!" Contestant Applauded For Confessing Her Feelings For Another Female Contestant

"Love Alarm Clap! Clap! Clap!" is a reality dating show that was recently shown on the Korean online streaming service Wavve. It is based on the webtoon and Korean drama Love Alarm.

The reality show is based on the plot of the webcomic, which takes place in a world where a dating app called "Love Alarm" lets people know if someone within 10 meters of them likes them romantically.

In the reality show, the contestants can pick two users from their "Love Alarm" app that they have feelings for.

On "Love Alarm Clap! Clap! Clap!," there are eight contestants. Each one is known by a nickname instead of their real name.

The 11th episode of the show recently went viral because of an unexpected thing that happened while contestant White Rose was waiting to see if anyone would pick her to date.

Just when it looked like no one would move, contestant Jasmine walked over to White Rose and stood in front of her to show that she wanted to go on a date with her.

Fans were surprised by Jasmine's move because she had been on dates with male contestants Deer and Tinkerbell. She told both of them that she picked them on the "Love Alarm" app, which made fans think it was a plan to get closer to White Rose.

Netizens were proud of Jasmine for being so sure of herself when she told a fellow female contestant on TV how she felt about her.

South Korean society has been pretty conservative when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance in the past. In South Korea, there are no laws that protect people from being treated unfairly because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Even though there has been a slow shift toward more acceptance in recent years, mostly among younger people, the LGBTQ+ community still faces discrimination and prejudice.

Former idols and trainees confirmed that there is an LGBTQ+ community among Korean celebrities.

However, they said that most of them don't come out in public because they want to keep their private lives private or are afraid of backlash from the public.

Jasmine's confident actions on "Love Alarm Clap! Clap! Clap!" got her a date with White Rose. White Rose cashed in all of Jasmine's "heart cards" for a date night on a fancy yacht.

Netizens loved that Jasmine was honest about how she felt about White Rose and that White Rose accepted those feelings with open arms.

Hong Seok Cheon, the show's host, had tears in his eyes because the famous MC, actor, and restaurant owner was one of the first openly gay Korean celebrities when he came out in 2000. At the time, he was met with a lot of hate and backlash.

Fans of the reality dating show are still watching to find out how White Rose really feels about Jasmine and if the two beautiful contestants will end up together.

  • Sunny’s surprise appearance at her uncle Lee Soo Man’s company has fans talking about her future plans

Girls' Generation's Sunny was recently spotted supporting K-pop trainees at A2O Entertainment, the company started by her famous uncle, producer Lee Soo Man. This happened after she officially left SM Entertainment in August 2023.

On April 7, A2O Entertainment shared a video titled “A2O Trainees 'A2O Summer Training Camp 2024' Highlights” on their official YouTube channel. The video showed A2O trainees heading to the United States for a special training camp.

Fans were surprised when Sunny suddenly appeared in the video. She was seen visiting the recording studio and watching the trainees record music. Sitting in front of the console, she smiled warmly as she monitored their work, showing her full support.

After the video was released, some netizens began wondering if Sunny is now working with her uncle behind the scenes. Many believe she might be helping him with music-related projects.

For those who don’t know, Sunny is the youngest daughter of Lee Soo Young, who is Lee Soo Man’s older brother. Lee Soo Young is also well-known in the industry as the CEO of Starworld, a company that debuted the girl group Sugar in the early 2000s. Sugar had popular members like Hwang Jung Eum and Ayumi.

A2O Entertainment is Lee Soo Man’s new project after he sold his shares in SM Entertainment to HYBE in 2023. Because of a non-compete agreement, he can't produce music in Korea for three years, so he’s now focusing on trainees based in the U.S.

Even though Sunny left SM, she hasn’t cut ties with Girls' Generation. Back in January, all eight members reunited and shared a group photo, warming fans' hearts.

Fans are now curious about Sunny’s next steps and whether this could mean a new chapter in her career—maybe as a mentor or producer?
