Sakura garners attention for her noticeable image transformation from her IZ*ONE days to being a member of LE SSERAFIM.
Many people might know Sakura from the popular Mnet show “Producer 48,” where IZ*ONE and the K-pop group LE SSERAFIM got their start.
But Sakura‘s music career began long before “Produce 48.” In 2011, she made her debut with the Japanese girl group HKT48, and she was also in the sister group AKB48. After coming in second place on “Produce 48,” she took a two-year break from the Japanese girl group and went on tour with IZ*ONE.
Through her work with IZ*ONE, she became very popular and loved in Korea. In the same year that IZ*ONE broke up, 2021, she also graduated from HKT48. Sakura took a chance and began a new part of her career with LE SSERAFIM in 2022.
