• Actor Lee Soon Jae Indirectly Mentions Kim Sae Ron's Recent DUI Incident

Lee Soon Jae, who is in his 67th year of acting, indirectly mentioned and hinted at his younger Kim Sae Ron's drunk driving.

On May 19th, Lee Soon Jae returned to the film "Hello" for an interview at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

On this day, Lee Soon Jae mentioned Kim Sae Ron's drunk driving, which has recently caused quite a stir.

Lee Soon Jae referred to Kim Sae Ron's drunk driving by adding, "It was reported in the newspaper again this time. There was a traffic accident," and added, "You must never do that".

"As an artist, I can do whatever I want because I'm free-spirited, but I can't do that since it's a profession for the public," Lee Soon Jae explained.

Lee Soon Jae, who compared an artist's interactions with the public to those of a politician, stated, "In that regard, I should always exercise self-control and do not do something that adversely impacts society as a result of me."

Simultaneously, Lee Soon Jae advised Kim Sae Ron to do her best.

"You have to be careful. Don't put a strain on your shoulders simply because you're earning a lot of money and being popular; you should always be humble and grateful," Lee Soon Jae advised.

Kim Sae Ron was driving at 8 a.m. on May 18th in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, when he collided with guard rails, street trees, and transformers many times and escaped.

When the alcohol detector tested positive, the police, who arrived after receiving a report from a passing civilian, apprehended Kim Sae Ron and attempted to assess her blood alcohol level. Kim Sae Ron, on the other hand, declined and returned home following a blood test.

The agency's Gold Medalist confessed Kim Sae Ron's drunk driving on the 19th, a day after the accident, stating, "We deeply apologize for raising worry due to the accident caused by Kim Sae Ron's drunk driving."

They continued, "Kim Sae Ron is deeply reflecting on her mistakes. In addition, Kim Sae Ron sincerely apologizes to the many people who have suffered damage and inconvenience and to all those who are working hard to restore damaged public facilities. We promised that we would do our best to repair the damage".

On the same day, Kim Sae Ron also wrote in a handwritten letter, saying, "I made a big mistake while drinking", adding, "My wrong judgment and behavior damaged merchants, citizens, and recovery people in nearby shopping malls. I apologize", she bowed her head promising to prevent a recurrence.

Kim Sae Ron had just finished filming "Hunting Dogs" for Netflix and was about to begin filming "Trolley" for SBS. Due to the incident, she eventually quit from "Trolley."

"I'm very sorry to my fellow actors and staff, as well as the production team," Kim Sae Ron responded, "since we have setbacks in the production of the work we are filming and the work we are preparing for."

  • Park Bo Gum shows he is good with money as his Jongno apartment rises by 500 million won in just one year and sets a new record

Park Bo Gum is not just a talented actor — he’s showing he’s smart with money too!

The star of Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines (폭싹 속았수다) recently made headlines after the value of his apartment jumped by a whopping 500 million won (about 370,000 USD) in just one year.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s real estate transaction records revealed on the 19th, the apartment where Park Bo Gum lives — an 84㎡ unit in Gyeonghuigung Ja-i Complex 2 in Hongpa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul — was sold for a record-breaking 2.54 billion won on March 21st. The unit is located on the 11th floor.

When you compare it to last year’s prices, which ranged from 1.95 billion to 2.05 billion won, that’s a massive increase of about 500 million won!

Gyeonghuigung Ja-i is known as a luxury apartment complex inside Seoul’s historic Four Great Gates area. It’s super close to popular spots like Gwanghwamun, City Hall, and Seodaemun Station on Subway Line 5 — making it really easy to get to hot places like Yeouido, Mapo, and even Gangnam through Line 3’s Dongnimmun Station.

It’s reported that Park Bo Gum moved there back in 2019 after leaving Mokdong in Yangcheon-gu, choosing Gyeonghuigung Ja-i mainly for its perfect location near his work spots.

Other units in the same complex have also been seeing crazy price jumps! A 59㎡ unit recently sold for 1.85 billion won (15th floor) last month, and a 101㎡ unit was sold for 2.73 billion won (7th floor) in February.

An insider from the real estate industry said, "Apartments near palaces will likely stay in high demand because of their historic meaning, the beautiful city surroundings, and great transportation."

Looks like Park Bo Gum definitely made a smart move with this one.
