According to reports, Seo Hyun Jin began filming as an Alzheimer's patient without make-up.
During a press conference following the press preview of the film "Cassiopeia" (director Shin Yeon Sik) held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on May 17th, Seo Hyun Jin revealed that she had worn a bare face for her role as an Alzheimer's patient.
"Acting with my bare face made me very free", said Seo Hyun Jin, who stated, "My condition worsened, and I believed it would be strange if I wore makeup".
"I was able to act much more daringly, and even without makeup, I had the illusion of being still," she said.
"My makeup team unnie saw it and said, 'It's lovely to see you with a bare face,' so I think it was a wise decision," she continued.
On the other hand, the June 1 release of "Cassiopeia" is a special film in which 'Soo Jin' (Seo Hyun Jin), who tried to live a perfect life as a lawyer, mother, and daughter, loses her memory due to Alzheimer's and lives a new life with her father 'In Woo' (Ahn Sung Ki). It is a collaborative effort.
