Lee Junho and Kim Tae Ri took home the award for best acting in a TV drama.
Lee Junho and Kim Tae Ri won best acting awards in the TV category at the “58th Baeksang Art Awards” on May 6 at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, for “The Red Sleeve” and “Twenty Five Twenty One”, respectively.
The two, who previously received the “TikTok Popularity Award” based on fan voting, garnered attention by obtaining the finest acting award.
On the same day, Lee Junho stated, “Honestly, I truly wanted to win this award. Honestly, I debated whether I should write an acceptance speech because my dream and reality might be different, but yesterday, before I went to bed, I felt very strongly that I wanted to win the main prize.”
“I don’t know what to say, but first and foremost, I want to thank everyone who has supported me throughout The Red Sleeve,” he stated. “I’m going to be a better person from now on, and I’m going to do better in the future,” he continued.
Kim Tae Ri appeared uncomfortable and stated, “I believed I’d never have to take it; I didn’t even think I’d get it“.
She added, “When I viewed the seniors’ video earlier, I thought, ‘Oh, there are things I wasn’t able to tell when I received the Popularity Award,'” she said.
“I wasn’t able to talk about the actors, directors, authors, and staff that I worked with.” Since I came back on stage, I’ll use this time again to thank you for your hard work“.
“I will attempt to become a better actor in the future“, Kim Tae Ri concluded.
