K-pop groups often receive the public’s love because of their diverse talents, visuals from the members, and teamwork that everyone admires.
That’s why having a member leave the group becomes the fear and heartache of most Kpop fans.
However, in the Korean entertainment industry, there are also many cases where they decided to leave the group, but after a while they reunited, surprising fans.
Sunmi (Wonder Girls)
Before succeeding with her current solo career, Sunmi had a time as a “piece” of Wonder Girls. The owner of the hit Gashina officially debuted with Wonder Girls in 2007.
At that time, the JYP girl group achieved great success after a series of hits such as: Nobody, Tell Me, Irony.
After working with the group for about 3 years, Sunmi announced her departure in 2010 to pursue her studies.
In 2013, the female singer returned to JYP Entertainment and had an extremely successful solo with the songs ” Full Moon, 24 Hours”.

Mark (NCT Dream)

By 2020, SM announced that the group will have a graduation model, the members will leave when they turn 20 years old so that NCT Dream will always be the sub-unit with the youngest NCT members.

Kiseop (U-KISS)
U-Kiss debuted in 2008 with a 6-member lineup under NH Media. However, it was not until 2009 that Kiseop joined and promoted with the group until 2019 when his contract with the company expired.
By 2021, when all members left NH Media, Kiseop, Hoon and Soohyun together signed a contract with Tango Music in 2022. T

Minzy (2NE1)
2NE1 is one of the famous Gen 2 girl groups, under YG Entertainment. “BLACKPINK seniors” are famous for their girlcrush concept and catchy, colorful music.

Minzy promoted with the group as the main dancer and maknae until 2016, she decided not to renew her contract with YG Entertainment, 2NE1 also disbanded at the end of the year.
This made the group’s fan community extremely surprised and sad. After that, Park Bom decided to sign a contract with another agency, CL and Dara continue to work as solo artists until 2019 and 2021.

NINE MUSES was launched in 2010 with a 9-member lineup under Star Empire. Euaerin was one of the original lineup, but she left the group a year later to focus on her studies.
Euaerin then rejoined the group in August 2011 and promoted with them until the end of her contract in 2016 – a year before the group disbanded.
Heesun (Pink Fantasy)
Pink Fantasy is a girl group that debuted with an 8-member lineup in 2018 under the management of MyDoll Entertainment.
Heesun then left the group in 2019 due to health reasons but rejoined 1 year later as a “new member” during the promotion for the song ” Lemon Candy ” .
In subsequent comebacks, she also regularly participates as a “guest member”.
Yoon Kye Sang (god)
god is the first K-pop boy group that debuted in 1999 under the management of SidusHQ.
The group debuted with a 5-member lineup and became one of the legendary boy groups, paving the way for the development of Kpop.
Although the working time is not long, but god is one of the rare Korean artists to own an album that has sold millions of copies, and owns a lot of hits that still make the hearts of many people to this day. That’s why for the Korean public, the first and forever “national group” title is god.
Member Yoon Kye Sang left the group in 2004, after which, god also transferred management rights to JYP Entertainment.
But only for a short time, the group suddenly stopped working from 2006 to 2014. Because of the long hiatus, it seemed like a disbandment, so god had a reunion that made the fans burst with excitement.
