• "Tomorrow" Continues To Drop In Viewership Ratings And Recorded Its Lowest Rating So Far

Is it because expectations were too high?

MBC's "Tomorrow," based on popular webtoons, is struggling with ratings.

According to Nielsen Korea, a rating research company on May 1, the 10th episode of "Tomorrow," which aired the previous day April 30, recorded a 2.5% rating nationwide.

"Tomorrow," which announced a good start with 7.6% of viewership in the first episode, is struggling with low ratings every day.

Unfortunately, "Tomorrow" has not created a fixed audience, and the ratings are falling little by little every week.

As a result, there are many negative speculations that the viewership will be 1 percent in the last episode, the last episode.

"Tomorrow" is based on a popular webtoon that received favorable reviews, and many famous actors such as Kim Hee Sun, Rowoon, Lee Soo Hyuk, Yoon Ji On, and Kim Hae Sook have drawn attention.

"Tomorrow," which depicts the story of a grim reaper who saves people who are about to die, sent a meaningful message every episode, giving a deep lingering impression.

However, it was criticized for being awkward because it failed to properly implement fantasy in webtoons.

It is said that all filming for "Tomorrow" ended in mid-April. With only the production team's editing remaining, attention is being paid to whether "Tomorrow" will be able to overcome the crisis and restore its original ratings.

  • BLACKPINK's Jennie says "Mom, I love you" at Coachella and what happened next left everyone emotional

Jennie of BLACKPINK once again proved she’s not just a top K-pop idol, but a powerful solo artist too — and this time, she moved fans around the world to tears.

On April 21 (local time), Jennie lit up the Outdoor Theater stage during the second weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California.

According to her agency OA Entertainment, she performed 13 songs without a break, receiving loud cheers from fans all over the world.

But what really touched everyone was the emotional ending.

After finishing her final song Starlight, Jennie shared her heartfelt thoughts, saying,
"I’ll never forget tonight. I truly love you."
She then brought even more emotion to the stage by shouting,
    “Mom, I love you!”
This moment hit fans right in the heart.

Jennie’s mother, who is also the CEO of her agency and was watching in the audience, was seen crying after the shout-out.

Friends near her quickly comforted her, and this touching moment spread fast on social media, making “Jennie” and “Jenchella” top trending topics worldwide.

Fans praised Jennie for showing her sincere love for her mom, with many saying the moment felt “so real and warm.” Some even commented, “It wasn’t just a performance — it was a story.”

Jennie had already made history by performing at Coachella with BLACKPINK in 2019 and 2023 — the group became the first K-pop headliner at the festival last year. But this solo stage, now known as “Jenchella”, showed she’s just as strong on her own.

After her Week 1 stage, Jennie became the only K-pop soloist listed in Billboard’s Hot Performances, and her performance videos ranked high on YouTube’s trending charts. “Like Jennie” even landed at #2 on the global music video trending chart.

With her voice, stage power, and emotional honesty, Jennie once again proved why she's a global superstar.
