• Gong Hyo Jin Claims Her Mother Insists On Never Getting Married

While speculations have circulated that actress Gong Hyo Jin is about to marry singer Kevin Oh, who is ten years her junior, her comments from a year ago are being revisited.

"My mum is against my marriage", Gong Hyo Jin revealed in April of last year on the entertainment program "House on Wheels".

"My mum told me she wouldn't marry if she were me", the actress admitted. "You have job to do, and no one in your entire life could force you to retire", she remarked. "You have a lot of acquaintances who work in the same field as you, so why get married when you can live comfortably on your own?"

Gong Hyo Jin also admitted that her mother never taught her to cook. "Don't learn how to make it", her mother told her when she asked about the recipe for braised beef short ribs. "You can have a happy life even if you don't know how".

"Don't you feel lonely when you live alone?" Gong Hyo Jin was asked. "I enjoy being alone," she explained. "I'm living a life where I have complete freedom to do whatever I want. Of course, it's still nicer to come home with friends than to be alone".

On April 1st, Gong Hyo Jin's agency Management SOOP confirmed the dating rumors of Gong Hyo Jin and Kevin Oh via Star News. "She is in a romantic connection with Kevin Oh," the agency stated. "They're dating nicely."

Many netizens believe the couple is dating with the intention of marrying. This is because on the 31st of last month, Gong Hyo Jin received the bridal bouquet during the wedding of Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin.

The couple is also expected to marry by the end of the year, according to reports.

However, the agency stated, “It is difficult to confirm anything about marriage because this is the actress’s private life issue”.
