Squid Game’s Artistic Director Won The American Art Directors Guild (ADG) Award

Netflix Korean original series ‘Squid Game’ won the American Art Directors Guild (ADG) Award.

Squid Game‘ was presented at the 26th Art Directors Guild Awards ceremony held at InterContinental LA Downtown Hotel in Los Angeles, USA on March 6, ‘ONE HOUR CONTEMPORARY SINGLE-CAMERA’ (ONE HOUR CONTEMPORARY SINGLE-CAMERA) SERIES) was selected for the award-winning work.

This award, which was received by Artistic Director Chae Kyung Sun, is given to the art director and set designer who created beautiful and artistic backgrounds and mise-en-scène designs in movies, TV dramas, advertisements, and music videos.

‘Squid Game’ was nominated for this category for various sets that appeared in the 6th episode ‘Kanbu’. Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Morning Show’, ‘Succession’ starring Reese Witherspoon, ‘Handmade Tail’ and ‘Yellowstone’ won awards proudly.

The music video for ‘My Universe’, a collaboration between BTS and Coldplay, was nominated in the ‘Short Format: Web Series/Movie’ category, but was not awarded. 

Taylor Swift’s ‘All to Well’ was chosen as the winner of this award.
