• Figure Skater Cha Jun Hwan Confesses He Ate Meat Without Salt For 6 Years As Part of His Diet

    Figure skating national team member Cha Jun Hwan unveiled his thorough dietary management.

    The 144th episode of tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" aired on March 2nd was decorated as a special feature for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

    On the same day, Cha Jun Hwan said that he must bring an energy bar everytime he goes abroad. Cha Jun Hwan said, "It's routine. I always eat energy bars during games. I eat little by little from morning to 6 o'clock. I take a bite and exercise, and when I'm hungry, I take another bite again", he explained.

    As a result, Yoo Jae Suk and Cho Se Ho were surprised. The two asked again if he eats just one (energy bar) all day, and Cha Jun Hwan said, "There are times when I can't finish (one energy bar) within a day instead eat only half of it and leave it alone", which surprised them even more. Yoo Jae Suk understood that "restraint has become a habit".

    Talking about restraint, Cha Jun Hwan express his love for chicken and his trying to control it. Cha Jun Hwan nevertheless explained, "I need to do better" about moderation of chicken, and then said, "I like chicken a lot," and his eyes lit up. Yoo Jae Suk laughed at this and said, "What's with that look?" and said "Call me" instead, shivering. A love call for chicken advertisers. Cha Jun Hwan replied, "I'm ready".

    Also, when asked if weight is not important for figure skaters, Cha Jun Hwan answered, "If you have a light body, you can jump well". Yoo Jae Suk said he had heard that he didn't even add salt to his meat. He said, "I ate without salt for 5 or 6 years, but what I hear is that I'm an athlete, so I sweat a lot, so I need salt, so I sprinkle a little bit of salt".
