    BTS’s Jungkook and celebrity chef Baek Jong Won are spreading warmth through their generous actions, bringing comfort to those affected by the devastating wildfires in South Korea.

    On March 28, Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced that Jungkook donated 1 billion won (approximately $750,000) to help with wildfire recovery efforts in Ulsan, North Gyeongsang, and South Gyeongsang.

    Out of his donation, 500 million won will be used for emergency aid and relief supplies for those who lost their homes.

    The remaining 500 million won will go toward improving awareness and working conditions for firefighters who risk their lives battling wildfires and other disasters. Jungkook personally decided how his donation should be used.

    The singer shared his heartfelt thoughts, saying, “I hope this can provide even a little help to those going through exhausting and difficult times. I sincerely wish that those affected by the wildfires and those working tirelessly to put them out can return to their peaceful daily lives as soon as possible.”

    Meanwhile, Baek Jong Won traveled to Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, to personally cook meals for wildfire victims and firefighters. According to reports, after hearing about the wildfire damage in Andong, he immediately sent his team to assess the situation.

    His company, The Born Korea, has set up cooking facilities at a middle school in a remote area and is providing free meals to wildfire victims.

    They are also preparing and delivering over 300 meals per mealtime to soldiers, police officers, and firefighters who are working nonstop to put out the flames. For those unable to leave their posts, meals are being delivered directly to the field.

    Baek Jong Won personally visited the site, comforted victims, and helped cook and distribute meals. He shared, “I couldn’t just stand by after hearing that the people of Andong, with whom The Born Korea shares a deep connection, were suffering from the wildfires. I hope that a simple warm meal can bring even a little comfort to those who lost their homes and are going through tough times.”

    Prior to this, Baek Jong Won also donated 100 million won on March 26 to support wildfire relief efforts in the Yeongnam region.
