• Cha Eun Woo Opened Up About His Past Struggles And Is Melting Everyone’s Heart

Cha Eun Woo first appeared as a healthy Areum in the 2014 film "My Brilliant Life", and debuted in 2016 with the group ASTRO's first mini-album "Spring UP". ASTRO released title songs "You're blowing," "Baby," "Confession," "Knock," and "Breathless". In particular, ASTRO achieved their first win on a national broadcast with the song “After Midnight” last year.

Cha Eun Woo has been active not only as a singer but also as an actor. Taking a look back on his life over the past six years, this idol-actor has been running breathlessly. In fact, he was not interested in being a celebrity before entering his current agency Fantagio.

Looking back to my debut days, I have achieved a lot. I won many awards and even ranked No.1. In fact, I am still working hard in the same way, but I didn’t know anything during the very first days of my debut. Also, I didn’t know anything about idols back then. Unlike other friends who enjoyed singing and dancing, I didn’t like singing and dancing at first. On my way to the company, I started to have a strange feeling.”

After getting cast, his life changed completely. Cha Eun Woo recalled the past and said, “I have always wanted to become an actor since the beginning. Then, I was recommended to join an idol project, which was conducted within the company, so I began to learn dancing and singing”, adding, “At that time, I didn’t know how to dance or sing. Trying my best and enduring all the hardships, I have come this far”. Many people might think Cha Eun Woo has become famous so quickly, but he actually walked to this place step by step.

Carrying out so many activities to promote the team and himself, he must have had lots of worries. Cha Eun Woo confessed, “Even when I worry about something, it’s not easy for me to talk it out. I struggled a lot. Compared to the members, I have more experience. That’s why I always answer them whenever they share their stories with me. But I won’t tell anyone about my worries first.”

This appearance was only seen on SBS’s entertainment program “Master in the House“. In February last year, So Yi Hyun and In Gyo Jin talked about marriage. After hearing their words, Cha Eun Woo confessed, “I want to get married. I think it’s hard to meet someone that you’re able to tell all your embarrassing sides and really connect with, but once you have a family or get married, it becomes possible.”

Recalling that time, Cha Eun Woo expressed his thoughts, “I think I’m still considered pretty young, but in the past 6 years since my debut, I’ve experienced so much. I’ve worked in many different areas compared to other friends my own age. Because I’m a normal person, I also feel loneliness, emptiness and confusion. I feel weakness sometimes. At the time, the words ‘marriage’, ‘by my side’ came out and I was choked up.”

Cha Eun Woo expressed his gratitude for “Master in the House” in which he has appeared since 2020. He said, “I actually like entertainment shows. I like programs where I can show my new or original appearance, and I also like hanging out with people. Since ‘Master in the House’ visited masters in each field, I could gain experiences from many people. It helped me grow my own mind.

Cha Eun Woo, who had been running for 6 years, said to himself, “You worked hard. You did your best.” His efforts paid off at the year-end awards ceremony. Cha Eun Woo shared, “As I mentioned before, in the old days, my heart really fluttered wherever I went. I always felt like ‘That’s Yoo Jae-suk’ or ‘That’s Kang Ho-dong’.

He added, "Now I’m proud to have seniors and friends whom I’ve worked with. After meeting my members, they told me ‘We talked about you’ or ‘I met someone in your group’. I replied ‘Please look after us’. This is when I felt proud the most.
