  • DSP Media, April's Agency Announced The Groups Disbandment Following Bullying Controversies

    January 28, 2022 - by sakura

The girl group April officially announced their disbandment after not exceeding '7 Years of Evil'.

On January 28, April's agency DSP Media announced through an official press release, "After a long discussion and deliberation, we and the members have decided to disband the team and go their separate ways."

"We ask for your support and interest in the 6 members who will walk a new path other than April.", The agency added

Next, the agency thanked the fans for supporting and cheering for April over the past six years.

April debuted in the music industry in 2015 with their first mini-album 'Dreaming'.

Last year, Lee Hyun Joo's family, claimed through an online community that during Lee Hyun Joo's training days, she was bullied right before her debut and had a conflict with the April members.

When the bullying controversy broke out, the members of April and their agency denied it was true, revealing injustice.

As a result, the April members temporarily suspended their activities.

In the meantime, April member Kim Chae Won made an effort to communicate steadily by sharing the current status of herself and the members through YouTube.

    Hello. It's DSP Media.

We would like to inform you about the disbandment of our artist, April.
After a long discussion and deliberation, we and the members have decided to disband the team and go their separate ways.
We ask for your support and interest in the 6 members who will walk a new path other than April.
In addition, thank you once again to the fans who have supported and cheered for April over the past 6 years.
