• Kim Da Mi Reveals Choi Woo Shik's Character In “Our Beloved Summer” Is Close To Her Ideal Type

In “Our Beloved Summer”, Kim Da Mi revealed that the role of Choi Woong, played by Choi Woo Shik, is close to her ideal type.

Recently, Kim Da Mi conducted a final interview with iMBC Entertainment and SBS' Monday-Tuesday drama “Our Beloved Summer”. “Our Beloved Summer” is a comedy romance drama following the story of young people's first love, which is unfolding when they are forcibly summoned back together due to the popularity of a documentary they filmed together in high school.

In “Our Beloved Summer”, Kim Da Mi plays Kook Yeon Soo, a realist public relations expert who runs nonstop. She was reunited with her lover Choi Woong (Choi Woo Shik) as a business partner. When she was still a student she broke up with him saying, "Don't let me see you even if you die," and was caught up in a vortex of emotions that she has been struggling with.

In the play, Kim Ji Woong (Kim Seong Cheol) and Kook Yeon Soo form a love triangle with Choi Woong. Kim Ji Woong performed pure love and has been in unrequited love for Kook Yeon Soo for 10 years since high school. However, it did not lead to an actual confession.

In relation to this, Kim Da Mi was asked, 'What would it have been like if Kim Ji Woong had confessed?' and said, "I think we would remain friends. It would be an uncomfortable relationship, but Kook Yeon Soo would have been surprised to receive a confession because he looked at Choi Woong as a man." She added, "Kim Ji Woong, however, did not approach Yeon-soo as much as Choi Woong. I think I might have told Kim Ji Woong very well in reality."

Kim Da Mi, who said that Choi Woong is the closest to her ideal type among the many male characters who appeared in“Our Beloved Summer”. She explained , "Choi Woong looks at only one person and does his best. From the point of view of Kook Yeon Soo, it seems cool that he only looks at himself and the person he love."

Kim Da Mi also mentioned her actual dating style. She said, "It seems that (dating style) changes a lot depending on the other person." She said, "It is a little bit similar to Kook Yeon Soo. It's similar when it comes to showing different aspects to a person. "

Kim Da Mi, who said that she and Kook Yeon Soo have a 60% synchronization rate. She explained, "It's similar to me that Yeon Soo can't seem to express her innermost thoughts. However, the narrative and story of Yeon Soo are different from my reality".

In addition, she selected the scene of parting with Choi Woong as 'I would not have done if I had been a Kook Yeon Soo'. In the play, Kook Yeon Soo unilaterally informed Choi Woong of parting in the past. Choi Woong shouted, 'What's the reason we broke up?', but Kook Yeon Soo left him without looking back.

Kim Da Mi said, "Kook Yeon Soo leaves Choi Woong without saying a word. If it were me, I would have expressed my feelings by talking a little more (to Choi Woong) then. Because I don't want to hand out my burden to others."

Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Shik's heartbreaking youth romance “Our Beloved Summer” ended with the 16th episode on January 25th.
