Netflix’s “All of Us Are Dead” Receives Unexpected Reaction From Netizens After Releasing Trailer

The release date of Netflix’s original Korean drama “All of Us Are Dead” has been confirmed as January 28th, 2022.

On December 31st, Netflix released a trailer for “All of Us Are Dead” on its official YouTube channel. “All of Us Are Dead” is a drama based on a Naver webtoon of the same name which was published between 2009 and 2011. The original work, which tells the story of a group of students stuck in their school during a zombie apocalypse, received much love as a “Korean zombie graphic novel”.

However, when the trailer was released, many fans who were waiting for the drama showed unexpected reactions. They pointed out that the work’s directing as well as zombies’ makeup were awkward.

Some users of the online community theqoo responded that they were somewhat disappointed by comments such as “The makeup is strangely tacky”, “It gives me a feeling like ‘Uncanny Valley’”, “They look like people rather than zombies”

All of Us Are Dead” was directed by Lee Jae Kyu of “Beethoven Virus”, “Damo”, “Intimate Strangers” and written by Chun Sung Il of “The Slave Hunters”. It featured many new actors such as Park Ji Hoo, Yoon Chan Young, Jo Yi Hyun, Park Solomon, Yoo In Soo, Lee Yoo Mi, Lim Jae Hyuk

According to the results of the viewing class review released by the Korea Media Rating Board on Dec 1st, “All of Us Are Dead” was rated unwatchable by teenagers in 5 categories, including violence, lines/dialogues, fear, drugs and imitation risk.

Netflix’s original Korean drama “All of Us Are Dead” will be released worldwide on January 28th, 2022.
