Singer CL confessed late that she found out about 2NE1's disbandment through an article.
“It felt like my heart was breaking,” she said for the first time about the situation at that time.

In an interview, CL shared that she had not received any comments from the agency regarding the disbandment of 2NE1.
To the question "Minzy said that she found out about the group's disbandment through the media, how about you?" CL answered honestly, "I did the same."
CL said, “I was at a Thanksgiving dinner, and my phone blew up. But yeah, those situations… That was very heartbreaking for me.”
The media reported that CL, who answered the question, seemed to be quite emotional as she recalled that time.
However, soon after, CL showed a positive attitude, saying, "I have a lot more freedom and decision-making power about my life, so it's a lot more exciting now."
