• “The King’s Affection” Cast Says Their Final Goodbyes

The cast of “The King’s Affection” shared their thoughts working on with the drama.

KBS 2TV's Monday-Tuesday drama 'The King's Affection' concludes the 10-week long journey on December 14th. Prior to this, Park Eun Bin, Rowoon, Nam Yoon Soo, Choi Byeong Han, Bae Yoon Kyung, and Jeong Chae Yeon, who have led the secret court romance narratives with different colors of love, directly conveyed their feelings about the ending to the viewers.

    • Park Eun Bin “2021 full of love”

Park Eun Bin spent her best years perfectly creating her unprecedented character, Lee Hwi, who became the fake crown prince after the death of her twin brother.

She said,  “I think I will only truly feel that the drama has ended once I watch the last episode. My 2021 has been filled with ‘The King’s Affection.’ Thank you to all the viewers who were a part of ‘The King’s Affection.’ I hope the ending will have a lasting effect on you for a long time.”

    • Rowoon "Unforgettable memories, thank you"

Rowoon showed Jung Ji Woon's love that transcends identity and gender in a mournful and loving way, and solidified his position as the 'Romance King' even in historical dramas.

He said, “I am very grateful to the staff, director, writer, and fellow actors who worked with me, for making unforgettable memories. There were of course some difficult moments, but I think I hoped for ‘The King’s Affection’ to never end.”

He also left a final greeting saying, “I would like to express my gratitude to those who have supported both the love of Hwi and Jiwoon and the love of Dami and Jiwoon, and hope that they will be remembered for a long time.”

    • Nam Yoon Soo “Meaningful work, meaningful days”

Nam Yoon Soo caused a ‘sub-sickness’ in the viewers by disassembling the role of Lee Hyun, who claims to be a ‘long-legged brother’ with a smile while harboring a lonely and painful love affair.

First of all, he said, “It was the first historical drama that I tried, and it was more meaningful because it was a work that I put a lot of thought and effort into it. It was also a meaningful day with the director, seniors and fellow actors who helped me a lot.”

He continued, “I am very grateful to the hard-working staff, to the viewers who loved ‘The King's Affection’ until the end, and who showed interest and comments. I will come back with a better image in the future.”

    • Choi Byung Chan “Unforgettable happy moments”

Choi Byung Chan faithfully played the role of Kim Ga On, a Lee Hwi's bodyguard who wrote many narratives with only his eyes, until he entered the palace with a desire for revenge for his father's unfair death, and his identity was reinstated and he regained the name of Kang Eun Seo.

He expressed his heart, “I want to first thank the director, fellow actors, and staff who helped me finish the show well.”

In addition, "You allowed me to adapt to the scene and act, so I had unforgettable happy moments until the end of 'The King's Affection'. Above all, I would like to thank the viewers for their love, and I will show you more development and efforts in the future.”

    • Bae Yoon Kyung “I learned a lot and grew up”

Shin So Eun was always honest and confident in her own heart. So, she approached Ji-l Woon first, and when she realized that her heart could not be directed towards her, she broke the marriage ceremony first.

Bae Yoon Kyung, who boldly portrayed a person who actively accepted even her sadness, said, “I learned a lot while doing a long-breathing historical drama for the first time, and I was able to grow one step further,” she recalled the past.

She continued, “I enjoyed every day with a good director, writer, staff, and good colleagues who were full of energy. I am grateful that The King's Affection received worldwide attention as everyone worked hard. I will cherish the support and love of the viewers deeply, and I will do my best to show mature acting through another work”.

    • Jung Chae Yeon "I was happy to be part of The King's Affection in 2021"

DIA’s Jung Chaeyeon played No Ha Kyung, the youngest daughter of the minister of military affairs. She mentioned how she was always enjoying her portrayal of Ha Kyung and that she learned a lot through her expression of various emotions. She ended her statement by expressing her happiness and gratitude toward all the viewers who enjoyed “The King’s Affection.”

  • Lee Min Ho Shares the Hilarious Story Behind His Famous Baeksang Fall—The One Thing He’ll Never Forget!

Actor Lee Min Ho recently shared an unforgettable and embarrassing moment from his early career, revealing how he became a “falling star” at his first Baeksang Arts Awards.

On the December 25th episode of You Quiz on the Block (Episode 274), Lee Min Ho made a guest appearance and reflected on his rise to fame.

The actor, known for his iconic role as Goo Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers, won the Best New Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards, but it wasn’t just his victory that grabbed attention.

Lee Min Ho recalled, "I was attending the Baeksang for the first time, and I was so excited. Since I wasn’t going as Goo Jun Pyo, but as Lee Min Ho, I styled my hair in a perm and was ready to go." However, things took an unexpected turn when he tripped and fell on the red carpet.

He sighed, recalling, "That day, I fell. I fell and created so many memes. Even now, I look back and think, 'How did I walk that quickly on the red carpet?'"

Laughing at his own clumsiness, he admitted, "I was moving at the speed of light, no composure, no focus. Honestly, more than the joy of winning the award, that day was chaotic and so embarrassing for me."

Though his win was a highlight, Lee Min Ho humorously shared that the incident of tripping overshadowed the excitement of his achievement.

It’s safe to say that while the fall became a funny meme, it also became a lesson in humility for the actor, and a moment that fans still remember to this day.
