‘Squid Game’ Gets 3 Nominations At Golden Globe Awards

The Netflix original series ‘Squid Game‘ and the Actors Lee Jung Jae and Oh Young Soo were nominated for the American Golden Globes.

According to foreign media on December 13th, the Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association (HFPA) in the United States placed the squid game in three nominations at the 79th Golden Globe Awards.

The dramas nominated for Best Picture in a Television Series-Drama along with Squid Game are ‘The Morning Show’ (Apple TV+), ‘Pose’ (FX), ‘Lupin’ (Netflix) and ‘Succession’ (HBO/HBO MAX).

Lee Jung Jae, who plays the main character Ki Hoon in Squid Game, was nominated for Best Actor in a Television Series-Drama, and Oh Young Soo, who played Il Nam, was nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

The candidates for the Best Actor category, Lee Jung Jae competes against Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong of Succession, Billy Porter of Pose and Omar Sai of Lupin.

For the Best Supporting Actor category, Oh Yong Soo competes against Billy Crudup from The Morning Show, Kieran Culkin from Succession, Mark Duplass from The Morning Show, and Brett Goldstein from Ted Lasso.

The 79th Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 9 next year.
