  • WINNER's Song Min Ho Discharged from Military Service but Facing Allegations – What’s Next for Him and the Group?

Song Min Ho, a member of WINNER, has officially completed his alternative military service, but the road ahead seems uncertain. Recent allegations about inadequate service have sparked investigations, leaving fans wondering what’s next for the beloved artist and his group.

According to reports, Song Min Ho finished his 1 year and 9 months as a social service worker on December 23. He was stationed at the Mapo Resident Convenience Facility and was discharged on schedule. However, controversy arose when it was revealed that he did not report to work on his final day, citing medical leave.

Reports suggest that Song Min Ho has been dealing with mental health challenges, including panic disorder and bipolar disorder, throughout his service. Despite being deemed unfit for alternative service earlier this year, he insisted on completing his term.

However, things took a turn when Dispatch claimed that Song Mino had taken a 5-night, 6-day trip to Hawaii in late October and failed to properly fulfill his duties afterward.

They also alleged that his attendance records might have been falsified. YG Entertainment responded cautiously, saying, “The artist's service details are difficult to confirm, but his sick leave was part of ongoing treatment, and all other leaves complied with regulations.”

The director of the facility where Song Mino served, Mr. A, also defended him. “His sick leave did not exceed the limit, and I checked his attendance daily,” he said. However, he admitted that verifying attendance every morning wasn’t always possible during busy times.

Adding to the tension, the Military Manpower Administration (MMA) is currently investigating the claims. They have secured CCTV footage to verify the allegations, and any violations could lead to disciplinary action against Song Mino.

Fans are also worried about what this could mean for WINNER’s future. Kang Seung Yoon, who recently completed his active-duty military service, expressed excitement about reuniting with his bandmates, saying, “I can’t wait to greet everyone as a complete group with Jinwoo hyung, Seunghoon hyung, and Mino soon.” However, if Song Min Ho faces repercussions, WINNER’s plans for a group comeback might be delayed.

As the MMA’s investigation continues, fans and the public are keeping a close eye on the situation. Will Song Min Ho clear his name and return to the spotlight, or will these allegations cast a shadow over WINNER’s future? Stay tuned for updates!
