• Actress Lee Ho Jung Receives Offer For Lead Role In New Netflix Original Series

    Actress Lee Ho Jung is considering appearing in Netflix original series 'The Thief: The Sound of the Sword'.

    On December 7, Lee Ho-jung's agency, YG Entertainment, told Newsen, "We are positively considering appearing in Netflix's original 'Thief: The Sound of the Sword' (written by Han Jeong-hoon/directed by Hwang Jun-hyeok)."

    A highly-anticipated production with a reported budget of 30 billion KRW (~ $25.3 million USD), 'Thief: Sound of the Sword' (working title) takes place in the 1920's when the Korean peninsula was annexed by the Japanese empire. The story follows the lives of fictional characters who decide to throw a powerful punch of defiance toward those who took their homes and identities by force. 

    Lee Ho Jeong is considering the role of the main character, Eon Nyeon. Eon Nyeon is a peasant's daughter who takes up a gun to avenge her man who murdered her parents.

    Model-turned-actress Lee Ho Jeong made her face known in the movies 'Youth Police', 'Jangsari: Forgotten Heroes', and the drama 'Nevertheless'.

    Described as a thrilling action genre inspired by Spaghetti-Western film techniques, 'Thief: Sound of the Sword' will begin filming in 2022.

    Earlier announcements confirmed that both Jo Jung Suk and Jeon Mi Do would make appearances in Resident Playbook, fueling speculation that the beloved duo is finally reuniting on screen.
