    Through a recent conference call, CJ ENM announced that the tvN drama 'Crash Landing on You', starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, which was aired until 2019 and early 2020 and recorded a peak viewer rating of 21.7% ia getting a Hollywood remake. This remake version of 'Crash Landing on You' is co-planned and developed by the production company, Studio Dragon, with Netflix US.

    When 'Crash Landing on You' on Netflix was released, it swept first place in the content rankings in Japan and Southeast Asia, and was loved, so the remake through Netflix US is attracting more attention. Also, as 'Crash Landing on You' is an important work about the division of Korea into North and South Korea, it is raising fans' curiosity about how this background will be remade in the United States and where the 'crash landing' will happen.

    Earlier, American broadcaster CW officially announced that they would remake the 2016 drama 'W' starring Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo. According to Deadline, a prominent American media, the title of the remake has been confirmed as 'Angel City', and the script is already in the works and casting has begun.

    Deadline said, "It is a work that mixes stories of various genres, such as a story of a different dimension unfolding in a graphic novel that a promising young surgeon who was living a stable life suddenly enters into the graphic novel written by his father, and the story of the main character in the graphic novel coming to life" .They added, “It is the latest Korean format being developed in the U.S. following the likes of ABC’s The Good Doctor, produced by Daniel Dae Kim, and HBO’s TV adaptation of Parasite in the works.

    The genre drama 'Trap' starring Lee Seo-jin, which aired on OCN in 2019, also officially announced a remake in the United States. The title was confirmed as 'The Club', and Jack Logiudis, famous for the popular drama series 'Sons of Anarchy', was selected as the writer. .

    In particular, 'The Club' is drawing more attention as Ma Dong-seok, who entered Hollywood through the recently released 'The Eternals', has confirmed to participate in the production and take on the lead role.     Reflecting on the experience, she added, “Memories of my past flashed before my eyes. I told them how I used to work late at night, carrying heavy bags and walking around for 10 hours straight.”

    Shoo emotionally concluded, “I was so happy to show my kids the nighttime world I once worked in.”
