    Filming for 'Hometown Cha Cha Cha' is scheduled to finished soon.

    On October 4, the tvN Saturday drama 'Hometown Cha Cha Cha' (directed by Yoo Je-won, written by Shin Ha-eun) is scheduled to end filming on October 6. Although there is a possibility of delay due to weather variables, they plan to finish filming within this week.

    'Hometown Cha Cha Cha' is a romantic comedy about a picture-perfect, woman working as a dentist Yoon Hye-jin (played by Shin Min-ah) whose life fell apart upon losing her job, leading her to move to the seaside village of Gongjin where she crosses paths and grows fond of Mr. Hong (played by Kim Seon-ho), a jack-of-all-trade man who do odd jobs to help the villagers of Gongjin.

    In particular, the romantic bombardment of Hye-jin and Doo-sik, who confirmed their feelings for each other in a recent broadcast and developed into lovers, makes viewers' hearts flutter. As a result, the ratings are also showing good results. In the last 10 episodes, it recorded its highest viewership rating of 11.4% (Nielsen Korea, based on paid platforms nationwide), and the latest episode, episode 12, got 10.7%. In addition, it is gaining overwhelming popularity, ranking 2nd in 'Today's Top Content in Korea' on Netflix and 9th in TV shows around the world.

    With only 4 episodes left until the end, attention is focused on whether the 'Sikhye Couple' will have a happy ending, and whether Shin Min-ah and Kim Seon-ho will be able to write a new work of their lives and reap the beauty of Yujong.

The "ddongcha" theory has been a subject of online debate for years, with many viewers critiquing Hyun Jin-heon’s character as overly arrogant and entitled.

    Hyun Bin, who first rose to fame in My Name is Kim Sam-soon, took the time to reflect on the character that made him a household name. He shared, “I was just following the script; there were no personal opinions added to the character of Hyun Jin-heon. At that time, I knew Hyun Jin-heon was portrayed as a ‘bad boy,’ and the way it was expressed was different from today’s standards.”

    With My Name is Kim Sam-soon now being re-released as part of Wavve's "New Classic" project, fans are revisiting the 2005 drama, and the character of Hyun Jin-heon is under fresh scrutiny. Director Kim Yun-cheol even admitted that the "prince on a white horse" and "bad boy" tropes that once worked in 2005 don’t quite match today's sensibilities, leading to edits in the 2024 version.

    Hyun Bin humbly acknowledged his gratitude for his successful career and hit works, saying, "It’s wonderful and I am grateful to have so many hit works. I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing writers, directors, and actors. Thanks to them, I’ve received a lot of attention and love."
