    BLACKPINK member Lisa, took a successful first step as a solo artist by hitting the global charts.

    According to YG Entertainment on September 11, Lisa's solo album title song 'LALISA' topped the iTunes song charts in a total of 60 countries as of 8 am on the same day.

    It shows the distribution of popularity evenly in North and South America, Europe, and Asia, including the United States, and also ranked No. 1 on the iTunes Worldwide Chart. The song 'MONEY' in the album also drew attention by recording 2nd place.

    Major foreign media such as US Billboard, MTV, Rolling Stone, METRO, Forbes, and Variety also paid attention to the news of Lisa's solo debut with weight.

    Billboard said, "Lisa has invited fans to her own world," and "Everyone who has heard of the album 'LALISA' will definitely remember Lisa."

    MTV said, "The best artist Lisa showed her potential in all three areas of acting, singing and dancing. She showed her dignified identity through the 'LALISA' music video. Her confident appearance and powerful dance are impressive."

    The music video for the title song 'LALISA' is explosively popular, surpassing 63 million views within 19 hours of being released on YouTube.

    As of today it is now considered the 'Most Viewed MV' on YouTube in 24 hours. In addition, it is expected to break BLACKPINK's record in the shortest time to reach 100 million views.

    Lisa will make her first solo debut by appearing on NBC's 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', which will be aired on the afternoon of September 11 in KST.

    Hyun Bin, who first rose to fame in My Name is Kim Sam-soon, took the time to reflect on the character that made him a household name. He shared, “I was just following the script; there were no personal opinions added to the character of Hyun Jin-heon. At that time, I knew Hyun Jin-heon was portrayed as a ‘bad boy,’ and the way it was expressed was different from today’s standards.”

    With My Name is Kim Sam-soon now being re-released as part of Wavve's "New Classic" project, fans are revisiting the 2005 drama, and the character of Hyun Jin-heon is under fresh scrutiny. Director Kim Yun-cheol even admitted that the "prince on a white horse" and "bad boy" tropes that once worked in 2005 don’t quite match today's sensibilities, leading to edits in the 2024 version.
